Who We Are
Our Story
In 2015, a few years after graduating from high school and cosmetology school, and after lots of prayerful consideration, owner Chancey Stone Gallimore and her husband purchased a charming little downtown original home, transforming it into an inviting salon and spa.
Here at Bella Blythe Salon and Spa, we have something really unique and special within our walls. The rooms of our salon and spa are individualized, offering the utmost relaxation. Throughout the salon, you’ll find four hairstyling rooms, three shampoo areas, our team room, two newly renovated restrooms, our break room, color, and our newly added spa!
After opening the salon in 2015, we found that we needed to accommodate our growing business and offer our clients even more. So, we grew again, and that’s when we transformed the backside of our charming home into the spa. We work very hard to ensure that you get an awesome experience with massage, waxing, facials, treatments, permanent brow design, and much more.
Our mission is to be up to date on all the latest trends, carry all of the best products in the industry, and strive to be better than we were yesterday. Our goal is to have ALL of our clients LOVE their reflection EVERY DAY! We aim to have an inviting, relaxing, and respectful relationship with every one of our clients and develop the utmost trust from all.
The History of Our Location...
In 1923, following the death of her husband Samuel, Sarah Spainhour Slate built the 210 East Dalton house for herself and her daughter, Katharine Viola (Ola). They lived together in their new home until 1928 after Sarah passed away.
Ola traveled to California to be closer to her brother Nathaniel and his family. Her beloved Omnie Grabs, Sr. caught a train to California soon thereafter, where he wed his bride and together they returned home to 210 East Dalton Rd in King, N.C. the same year.
Omnie and Ola had one son born in the home, Omnie Grabs, Jr. in December 1933. The family gardened in the backyard, growing beautiful flowers and vegetables that Ola cooked for their family. There was even a chicken coop!
In 1941, Ola passed away unexpectedly, leaving the father and young son to move just down the road to live in what is now the King Moravian Church offices, with his sister, Lula Grabs Pulliam.
During this time, 210 East Dalton remained empty for four years until Omnie, Sr. married Martha Ingram Harding. The family moved back in and enjoyed two happy years before Martha passed away following surgery. After Martha’s passing, Omnie, Sr. married Lillian Speas, and together they lived happily in the home until Omnie passed away in 1970. Lillian remained until her passing in 1982.
The following year, the Grabs grandchildren moved in and took turns living in the home until 1996. The home was sold a few years later and was used as a law office. In 2015, the home was bought and brought to life again when Bella Blythe opened.
Our Staff
Chancey Gallimore, Owner
Welcome! My name is Chancey Gallimore. I grew up right here in King, NC, and I’ve always known I wanted to grow my business and my family here too. I graduated from West Stokes in 2010 and started my cosmetology career right after. 2025 will mark my 15th year doing hair and my 10th year open at Bella Blythe Salon and Spa!!!
My husband Justin Gallimore is a huge part of the business and helps keep things running smoothly for our group of stylists, and spa staff. Together we have three girls as well as 2 golden doodles, Ace and Oliver (Ollie). My daughters all share the “Blythe” middle name, which inspired the salon name. It means: happy and carefree!
My clients are like a second family to me. I am so fortunate to have some of the most loving clients who make my job so rewarding. What I love most about doing hair is seeing the way a color or a cut can change a person instantly. The joy I get from turning a client to my mirror and seeing them light up is such an honor. I encourage colors and cuts that complement each individual’s skin tone and face shape.
I would say blonding is my favorite. There is something so relaxing to me about creating a beautiful head of foils even before they’ve been taken out. I love to show clients that blonde hair can be healthy and well taken care of through great product knowledge in and out of the salon, along with at-home maintenance. Teaching my clients how to maintain and recreate salon-quality results at home is my goal.
Bella Blythe is my dream and it’s where I still work closely with and manage a salon full of talent. As of right now I am working in my in home salon that my husband and I created in 2020. It’s another cozy version of Bella Blythe and conveniently named Bella Blythe on KV.
I homeschool my girls, keep my loyal and long-time clients looking their best, manage the salon on Dalton, and participate in a number of activities throughout our community! I thank God for leading, guiding, and directing me every step of the way in this business journey that I pray is a blessing to every friend who walks in the door. To have an award-winning salon and spa full of exceptionally talented artists who all bring their expertise to the table is a dream. I am blessed to get to laugh, share ideas, and share my salon with all of our team members and guests! I would like to give a special thanks to my best friend, my husband, for always encouraging me and forever taking all of my salon ideas and bringing them to life.
Anna Hill, Stylist/Salon Manager

I’m so excited to have my own chair at Bella Blythe and now am accepting clients! I can’t wait to see you in my chair!!
Allissa
I graduated from Leon’s Beauty School in 2011 and have been behind the chair for nine years. I am a certified Redken specialist. I love all things hair and specialize in Redken color! Bailee Newsome
I graduated from Dermacademy in 2020 and have been working within the skincare industry for 4 years now! When offering skincare services I focus on result driven facials to help clients reach their ultimate skincare goals. When I’m not working on bettering the skin I love doing lash lifts and brow laminations, the instant results are my favorite! If you can’t find me in my spa room you’ll find me offering onsite and in-house wedding/prom or special occasion makeup! I’ve been doing professional makeup for about 7 years and have loved every minute of it! I look forward to making you feel and look your best here at Bella Blythe!

Hailey Alvear
I graduated from Surry Community College and started my career behind the chair in 2017. I knew I wanted to work in the beauty industry at a very young age – it’s something I’ve always been passionate about. I am a Redken specialist, and I love all things hair, but coloring would have to be my favorite!
Emma Wetter
My name is Emma Wetter. I’ve been married to my husband for seven years now and am the mother of two boys (Sampson, 6, and Hank, 4). Born and raised in New Zealand, my favorite thing to do is travel. I plan on showing my kids the world! There is so much out there to see. I went to cosmetology school at Chipola College in Florida while playing softball and got to see a little bit of the States while doing so. My favorite thing about my job is all the different people I’ve met over the years, and watching the young ones grow up to realize their passion just as I realized mine. I love being a small part of their journey. My favorite thing to do behind the chair would be color corrections. The difference I can make to someone’s confidence in the little time I see them is breathtaking!
Edie Hill
Hey everyone, I am Edie Hill. I am the Licensed Massage Therapist at Bella Blythe Salon and Spa. August will start my 24th year. Edie is married to a wonderful man and they have a son and daughter. To say I love what I do is an understatement. This world can be so stressful and hectic. It causes pain and injury to our bodies. To be able to help people who have injuries or just need to relax is wonderful. My clients become an extension of my family. I love that. I feel blessed that God led me down the path to massage therapy and brought me to Bella Blythe. I work with the best.
Hannah Willis
My name is Hannah Willis. I have been doing hair for eight years. I have always loved watching makeover shows and seeing the transformation that a hairstyle can do. I love doing big changes and completely transforming people’s looks. I love the chemistry of color and the visual of haircuts! It’s more than just painting and snipping to me. My favorite thing is finishing the color and cut with an amazing style and revealing it to the client! The reactions are what makes all the time and energy put into it so worth it!!! I’ve always loved art and creating something unique. Doing hair isn’t just a job, it’s a passion!
